What is a wiki?? Wiki is a piece of server software that allows users to freely create and edit web page content using any web browser. Wiki supports hyperlinks and has a simple text syntax for creating new pages and crosslinks between pages on the fly. Wiki, in the Hawaiian-language, means fast. The most commonly recognized and utilized wiki is wikipedia.org, a "multilingual, web-based, free content encyclopedia project. Wikipedia is written collaboratively by volunteers from all around the world. The articles can be edited by anyone with access to the Internet, simply by clicking the "edit this page" link. (Source: Dr. Adamy, Using Wikis in the K-16 Classroom, RITER Project Technology Conference, September 2007) If you are not familiar with wikis, this quick guide is very helpful!
Click on the page you want (left menu under "navigation"). If you are uploading scripts, please put them on the "Holes" page.
Once on the page, click "edit this page" at the top of the page.
Click on the tree icon (after the two world icons).
Another page will appear for you to insert a file.
Under "Upload new file" is a browse button.
Click "brouse," which will bring you to the files on your computer (like if you were going to attach a document).
Once the file name is in the window next to "browse," click upload.
You will see your file appear along with the other files (they are arranged in alphabetical order).
Go back to you page.
Put the cursor where you want the file inserted.
Go to the insert menu, double click your file.
Remember to click save!
